McDonough Marine Service announced the opening of its newest barge fleet location on Staten Island, New York City, N.Y. The location is highly strategic. Staten Island is situated close to the largest port facilities in the New York area, including the port of Newark (N.J.) and the sprawling docks in Brooklyn and the West Side of Manhattan in New York City.
"The centralized position will give us a strong, competitive edge for the Greater New York market," said Mark Epley, McDonough's territory manager for the East Coast. "We look forward to better servicing our current customer base and to many more opportunities in the Big Apple."
McDonough provides barefoot rentals of deck and spud barges to support both the infrastructure and project cargo markets. Epley says that the fleet will have an assortment of spud and deck barges to cover a variety of needs.
